This page addresses some site policies and housekeeping rules in a Q&A format. If I haven’t addressed your question sufficiently below, please email your question to roy@theintegrationengineer.com, or ask your question on one of the post comments.
Q. Why isn’t my comment visible on the page?
A. All comments from first time posters are moderated. This means that I get notified, and read the comment. I will approve any and all comments that are related to the subject. But I won’t approve comments asking people to visit your webcam. I get a lot of comments from bots that say, “Your great!” and then want to link to sites that have nothing to do with the topic, like weight loss, relationships, and gambling. Although I might let that pass if the comment itself was pithy and on topic, when its not the spam filter grabs it for me. You can include any link you want, but your post must be substantive. That is the rule.
I welcome any comment or question about EDI, XML, or other technology that is used in e-commerce, or integration. And I will publish any and all comments that qualify. Q. I am trying to understand XXXXX but you are over my head or confusing. Is there any way you can explain more simply? (also) I need help with XXXXXXX but you haven’t addressed it yet. Can you?
A. Yes. Right now my calendar of posts is scheduling one to two posts a week. This may change later, but that is what I am budgeting in my time right now. I write my posts in advance and then schedule them over coming weeks. If I have already written, but not published, the answer you are looking for, I can give you an advance peek or rearrange my scheduled posts to get to you early. Please ask!
And if I haven’t considered your question or have written a post that is above or below your needs, I would love to write an update post. So please ask this as well.
Q. I need an EDI programmer, are you available?
A. Ummm. I am an Integration Engineer professionally, and would love to say, “Yes!” But I also know many other people in this industry, so email me at roy@TheIntegrationEngineer.com and lets see if I can get you some help. If you need permanent help, I also know some good recruiters that can help you find full time people.
Q. Can you put a job board on your site?
A. Not at this time. I just don’t have the time to manage it, and there are quite a few job boards out there already. But if I get enough requests I may change my mind.
